We had a Reality show theme, it was based on Ace of Cakes, Fear Factor and Survivor. Ace of cakes I made 3 pan cakes and cut them into 4 I ended up with 12. I put a thin base coat of Icing on all of them and mixed up different color bags of icing, I picked up a 12 pack of clear plastic pastry bags from Joannes and just cut small holes at the end then had some other candies etc. To decorate. Then we judged them and gave out ribbons. Fear factor we made all kinds of crazy mixed up foods...green jello with died spaghetti cut up olives, puddings we made 8 diff combination, most tasted good but looked bad and a few were kinda bad, They played a card game and the looser had to take a bite! Survivor we broke the kids up into 3 teams and had them do a bunch of random things like put a small puzzle together, blow up a balloon relay race, paper airplane thrown into a circle. They ran from area to area picking up clues for their next project until the first team ran to the finish. I also made color bandannas for each team. I put extra time into this party since the party was held on a holiday weekend(Memorial day) I made invites that said stuff like...Have you ever wanted to be on survivor? How about designing and making your own cake like axe of cakes? And who hasn't thought about what it would be like to eat some of that gross food on fear factor!! Well here's your chance! The kids had a blast and said it was the best party ever!
