Hello Everyone

I'd like to welcome you here to Castle Dracula for this Mother's day soiree.  Please make yourselves right at home.

I'm afraid that after this morning's heavy thunderstorm, the bridge is out, and you will be forced to stay overnight until we can organize an alternative route down the mountain.

We are preparing rooms for everyone. Most have ensuite showers but I'm afraid we have no mirrors in the castle (the master does not like them).

Some of the beds DO look a little like coffins, it's true, but this is a cute local custom - (such a sense of humour these Transylvanians have).

It is, of course, a full moon tonight and once you have helped yourself to food from the buffet (I particularly recommend the red wine) you might consider a stroll along the battlements with our resident guide, Vlad. He's a good guide and seems to have been here forever. Please do not try to take "selfies" with Vlad, he's liable to disappear.

I should warn you about the howling that occurs late at night. It may sound a little like wolves, but it is in fact just our chickens, who have an unusual way of expressing themselves.

Similarly, any bats that you may think you can see flying around are merely large moths and not vampires or anything like that, honest!

So, anyway, enjoy your Mother's day celebration, for some of you it may last an eternity.
