Franklin Delano Roosevelt well known as the 32nd President of the United States of America. His term in office lasted from 1933 to 1945 making him the only US president to serve more than two terms.

He contributed in a way large way to change the world and how things functioned in it, throughout the great depression of the 1930s; Roosevelt formed the New Deal to offer relief for jobless people. He also helped in restructuring the economic system. His most well-known legacies comprise of, The Social Security System and The Regulation of Wall Street.

His hard line application of active federal government invigorated the Democratic Party. He along with his wife, Eleanor Roosevelt are regarded as the touchstones of modern American liberalism.
