Many countries around the globe have prime ministers, and the list spans from Abkhazia to Zimbabwe!
In fact, there are so many interesting prime ministers that I thought I'd list the top 3 most-fascinating ones:
The most-interesting prime ministers in the world: 1- Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir- Is the prime minister of Iceland. As well as being Iceland's longest-serving parliamentary member and one of Forbes Magazine's 100 most powerful women, Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir is also the first openly-lesbian prime minister in history!
2- Vladimir Putin- Was the prime minister of Russia between 2008-2012, and whilst his dictatorial grip on Russian politics is definitely uncool, there are very few world leaders who can say that they've won Judo medals, fought wildfires, flown fighter jets, and wrestled bears (I made the bear-wrestling part up).
3- Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum- Is the current prime minister of the United Arab Emirates (as well as Emir Sheikh of Dubai). There are so many reasons this guy is interesting, that I simply don't have space to list them all!
For starters, he's worth over $4 billion dollars...
Another controversial fact about the Emir Sheikh is that he was accused of supporting the abduction of thousands of young boys who were enslaved and forced to work as camel jockeys!
If you want a comprehensive list of the other less-exciting prime ministers currently in power, I'd suggest you check out this list.
