David Crockett was 49 years old when he died. He was a 19th century American Folk hero better known as Davy Crockett. He was the representative for Tennessee in the U.S congress, and took part in the Texas Revolution. He died in the Battle of Alamo which was fought between The Republicans of Mexico and rebel Texian Forces. Crockett was born in Green County near Nolichucky River, Tennessee he was a descendent from French Huguenots who had settled in Cork, Ireland before finally moving to Donegal, Ireland. History says that his father was born at sea while his grand parents were migrating to America. At maturity, Crockett was around 5 feet 10 inches and weighed around 190 pounds. It is thought that Crockett went down fighting during the Battle of the Alamo and was most probably shot dead.
