The United National International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is an international organisation set up to look after the welfare of children. It has been doing a commendable job for several years. UNICEF appoints a goodwill ambassador to each country of the world who goes around spreading awareness about key issues concerning children, such as education, pulse polio and the prevention of such exploitative evils as child labour and child marriage in the country in which he or she is serving as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

A person must have a clean professional and personal record and must be a well-known, respectable person in society. It is better to appoint a person who is known the world over for his good character and excellent conduct.

Other international organisations that are currently working towards stopping child labour include the Global Fund for Children, MVF India, Save the Children, the International Labour Organisation (ILO), Stop Child Labour and Stop Child Poverty.
