Hello, my name is ______, I am in year ___ and I am running for the 'school council'. I'm always fully organised, and ready to work. I'm dedicated, responsible and enthusiastic.
These are the three words that describe me, and three reasons why you should vote for me. If them reasons aren't good enough, then you shouldn't vote for me. But, I can promise you something... I will try my hardest to help the staff and students to have a nice and memorable school life.
Some ideas I have to improve the school are:
More fundraisers,
better food (hot and cold) in the canteen,
more lighting around classrooms,
more electives.
I believe that I am qualified to represent our school '______' due to the fact that I take part in many resources and activities around school to improve the equipment around our school, and because I get good grades.
Please Vote For Me [insert name] to take part in the School Council.
If you vote for me, I assure you that your voice will always be heard.
Good Afternoon, students, parents, and teachers. My name (insert name). I am running for Secretary of the Student Council.
Before stating what my plans are if elected Student Council Secretary, I will tell you about myself. I have been a student at Santa Maria since Kindergarten.
I have been on the Honor Roll since 5th grade. In the (...) grade I was Classroom Representative and attended Student Council meetings; thus, I am familiar with how the Student Council works.
The three words that describe me are: Determined, responsible, and hardworking. I have very good handwriting, good note-taking skills, and I listen very well. I am also open to advice if it makes me a better persons and council secretary.
I am very involved in our school. I am always willing and happy to help other students and teachers. I have been a cheerleader for two years at our school. Cheerleading is fun; but, it has taught me to work hard and remain focused on the task at hand.
My ideas for improving the school Now to my ideas. I believe students should be able to express their artistic side. Students would have a "Theatre Night" where they work and write together to produce a play which is then shown to the other students.
Another idea would be to have a "Green Day" where students and teachers would plant a tree, bush, or flowers. Also, I would like to see a "Book of the School Year" where all students and teachers vote for their favorite book; then, a day set aside for "Students-vs-Teachers Sports" activities.
And lastly, I would like to see last year's "Movie Night" continued since all the students enjoyed the experience. Since Santa Maria has given me so many great and happy experiences I would like to contribute back to the school by being Student Council Secretary.
So, please remember.....Vote for Aimee for Student Council Secretary. I appreciate your time, patience, and of course, your vote!
There are two secrets to creating a winning student council speech:
1) Enthusiasm
2) Confidence
But most of all entertain people!
How to write an awesome student speech
If you're looking for some inspiration, check out this AWESOME video of a freshman welcome speech by Georgia Tech student Nick Selby.
He went a little nuts with his speech, but it was so successful that it even went viral on YouTube!
It just goes to show that if you catch your audience by surprise with your speech and make them laugh, you will be more memorable than any of the other candidates, no matter what they write down on paper before hand!
It's not so much about what you say, but rather how you say it.
Also try to include catchy phrases like "Yes, we can!" (President Obama used that already, but something like that...)
Say like ideas and talk about what you want to bring to the school and you can say example "I will try my hardest to have a cool and nice school year!"Then, after your done say don't forget to vote for (insert name) Thank so much for listening!
Make it funny so people find it interesting. For example use an inside joke with the majority or all of your classmates, slogans like "change your underwear change your school" (if you're allowed). Make your intro funny so people will listen. That is what I'm doing this year. Make sure not to make it too funny, you have to be serious about being in student council.
I'm in the same position as you! It might help if you say why you want to be part of the school council, and tell them a couple of your ideas for improvement, and then describe yourself.
Like you, I have only just started - but I want to make a difference in the school community. If you vote for me, I can assure you that your voice will be heard.
Dedicated, responsible, and enthusiastic. Are some of the many ways you can describe me.
Like how you are going to give a good example, try and stop any bullying, try and stop people from skipping school and how you could make it appear that school can be a fun place to be.
Just say why you want to be a school council and then you can add 3 or 4 ideas of your own but remember don't make it too long or the audience will get Bord.
Some people just vote for the most popular people in the class and not the best person for the job.
Just say how can you change the school and what improvements will you make. In my school, you're not allowed to say "vote for me and I'll give you a candy".
Do a speech on something you like, and something that you have a lot of experiences with so you will have lots to talk about.
Pick put the most important points so it isn't too long and make sure you keep your audience interested maybe before you pick a solid idea pick 3 or 4, and go around and ask classmates and or teachers to see which topic they like better.
Then do your speech on that, maybe like do it on riding your first bicycle a magical memorable moment as long as your audience is interested hop I was a help!
You could say I would like to become a school-councilor because______. I would also like to______. You could talk about what you want to do as a school councilor. Then, to finish it all off you could say ______.
