The current conflict in Iraq began when America and its allies invaded Iraq on the 20th of March 2003. So in around a month and twenty days the troops will have been there for four years altogether. Instead of troop reductions the current plans of the American President involve sending an additional twenty thousand troops to the conflict zone of Baghdad. Troops of the air force however have been operating and enforcing the no fly zone ever since the end of the First Gulf War. After the weapon inspectors had withdrawn from Iraq during the mid nineties British and American aircraft had also bombed suspected sites of weapons of mass destruction. Hence allied troops as such have been in region ever since operation desert shield when Kuwait was invaded by Iraq.

As far as I am concerned they have been there way to long and I hurt inside everytime one of our boys are killed by people who hate us so much. I think they need to bring them home so they can be reunited with families and loved ones. I know Iraq needs home, but pray that GOD will bring all our boys home by 2008.
