The Second World War was one of the disastrous events in the history of mankind. This war led to rise and fall of several powers in the world. It started in the year 1939 and went up to 1945.The conflict was between the Allies and the Axis. The Nazis were held responsible for this major conflict when they first invaded Poland and then Czechoslovakia for capturing arms and ammunition.

The Nazi party was led by Adolph Hitler who played a major role in demolishing the democratic parties of Germany. The other powers that helped Germany in this war were Italy, Japan and Bulgaria. On September 1st 1939 Germany attacked Poland where France and United Kingdom declared war against Germany. United States became a part of this war after Japan attacked pearl harbour which took place on 7th December 1941.

World War started in 1939 and ended in August 1945. Neville Chamberlain announced the beginning of the war on the 3rd of September 1939. Adolph Hitler eventually killed himself by suicide anyway though. The war was originally a war between Britain and Germany but then the Nazi's invaded other countries so there were eventually many more countries who had joined the war if you get what I am saying! Neville Chamberlain unfortunately died before the war ended but during that Winston Churchill then became the prime minister in Britain.

Why are you all saying that it started in 1939? It started in 1931 when the second Sino-Japanese (China vs. Japan) War happened. Then they invaded other countries and had Manchuria. However it ended in August 1945 when Japan surrendered (Germany already did).
