The Republic of Ireland is not part of the British Isles. The word Republic is a real give away

The countries that mainly do not celebrate Christmas are: Australia, Bethlehem, Brazil, British Isles, Canada, China, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, France, Greece, India, Iran, Iraq, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Scandinavia, Scotland, South America, Spain, Sweden, Venezuela, Wales.

Christmas is mainly a Christian-based holiday which is why many of the countries above may not celebrate this holiday. Many though, are beginning to celebrate it just for the fun of it.

Czechoslovakia? Really? There is no such state any more! FYI, we fell apart 17 years ago! There are two independent states: The Czech Republic and Slovakia. And YES, we DO celebrate Christmas and not just for the fun of it!!!!
