How Did Britain Take Over India?

They took over India by denying lots and almost all of the human rights eg forced to lick floors and many other tortures, it was quite bad at that time for India. Hundreds of Indian protesters also got massacred including children, for no reason! At least the Britsih got imported goods and land, but they still don't have the right!

For the person above, the british did actually bring benifits:
A school system was established.
Advances in transportation and communication, such as railroads and telegraphs, appeared in India soon after they appeared in Britain.
British rule brought political stability to regions previously divided by civil war.
A fairly efficient and honest government was set up.
