They got a coffee in the morning, bread at noon, and soup at night. This is according to the book Night, by Elie Wiesel. It's an amazing book too.

Small bowl of soup and a thin slice of bread.

I would know cause a survivor from one of the camps came to my school and told us that.

The prisoners of holocaust if they lived then they lived with fear or horror. Today I try to think and look back at the pictures of the holocaust time make a feeling of sadness creep within me. You can consider this period as on one of the worst times of the 20th century. People then initially whatever was provided a little managed to survive with it.

Later, the food supply was also completely stopped, so here the question of what they ate does not actually arise. They lived in such torturous conditions that if someone had to shoot hem down they would have been much happier then receiving all the torture before dying. Each time I tried to research to find an answer to your question I could only see much more horrible images.
